Most of this month’s entry will be focused on John, Larkin, and Reagan and what they have been up to. All three are growing up so quickly and it’s simply amazing to see.

John’s favorite activities are running and sliding to a stop with his big yellow truck, looking at family photos, saying “what is that?” to just about everything, counting the number of school buses he sees and guessing if the fire station’s doors are open or closed on his way to school. John always wants to be outside (even on a really cold day), and enjoys playing with friends in the backyard or cul-de-sac, and going to playgrounds. He is quite the character and constantly makes many silly faces and funny noises. John has his mother’s infectious smile and a one of a kind belly laugh. Daycare attempted to transition John from diapers to big boy underwear on the 1st, but he proved to not be quite ready as he went through pants after pants. Daddy is actually more than okay with this set back because diapers are so much easier and easy is good right now.

He is also quite a ladies’ man and consistently flirts with older women (batting his eyes & looking away with a silly grin on his face).

Larkin’s favorite activities are carrying her purses around the house, helping feed and burp baby Reagan, stealing John’s toys and having him run after her (she’s faster than John, so she loves this game…), going very high on swings, and being tossed or held high into the air by her daddy. Larkin is more reserved than John and it takes much effort to win her affection (hopefully this trait follows her to middle and high school). But, once she’s comfortable, she lights up your heart with kindness, silliness, and love. She is extremely observant and understands things incredible well. Larkin is also the caretaker (boss) of the house, making sure John is doing what he should be doing, Reagan is properly fed, Logan (golden retriever) gets his dinner, and that daddy gets the proper amount of hugs and kisses.

Reagan smiles with her entire body, which she pretty much does from the moment she wakes each morning until the time she goes to bed at night. Her favorite activities are being held or tickled by her many family members and watching her brother and sister eat and play. Reagan prefers sitting up when playing with toys and is very eager to crawl, but she’s still at the swimming stage. She also enjoys watching sports (not allowed very frequently) and likes to get out of the house and see the world as much as she can. Reagan is very spoiled by her loving family and is a true gift to this world.

Jamie’s Birthday – The O’Brien-Kindem families celebrated Jamie’s birthday on the 30th by eating Perogies (one of J’s favorite meals), drinking champagne & Drambiue, and telling stories about our beloved Jamie. It was an extremely tough day for all, but we somehow managed to have a nice time honoring Jamie on her birthday.
